Hi there,

1) The search in the backend only search title and alias - no other fields, is this related to Joomla or can it be changed to be able to search other fields?

2) The CSV file is messing up when I use a comma in the field.

When I download the csv file, if the address have a comma in it, it moves the content after the comma to the next column.  For example below, you can see text (Unit ...) is in the City field, and the City field content is in the Province field, etc...

The address should be, eg: "50 Peel Centre Drive, Unit 205"

The search backend is actually 'governed' by the core Contacts component.
It searches for information: contact name, alias and id (if you prefix with ID:). But that is all, indeed.

I understand the need for a better search and including more fields among the search. It's general to all Joomla components. If you are up for it, you can request such functionality at issues.joomla.org to ask for improvements of those views.

As far as the CSV download is concerned, the output is like:

name,category,tags,con_position,address,suburb,state,postcode,created,activities
"Olivier Buisard",Imported,professional,"Web Developer and Team leader","27E. 21st St, #A1",,,,"2020-08-21 15:50:07","Activity 1, Activity 2, Activity 3"

The address is inside quotes, so I think the problem you are having is coming from the interpretation of the CSV data of the sheet extension you are using.
I have no issue with Microsoft Excel in Windows.
