Hi Nick,
in 'basic options', select the order 'Name format 2nd part (asc)' and then in 'contact information', go to formatted fields and select the name format you wish to give (like '[first element][all others]').
Formatting can be tricky, so check the explanation in the documentation if you have difficulties with this and you can also always get back to me
