how to fix Fatal error: Class 'JControllerLegacy' was created by prakash9
hi

I just performed an update for my organization website
Prev, was running on 2.5.4. There was an update shown in control panel (joomla back-end). When I clicked to update there was some error.

When I tried to view the site:

Fatal error: Class 'JControllerLegacy' not found in /home/perdanau/domains/perdanauniversity.edu.my/public_html/pu/components/com_content/content.php on line 15

When I tried to go back to my admin panel:

Fatal error: Class 'JControllerLegacy' not found in /home/perdanau/domains/perdanauniversity.edu.my/public_html/pu/administrator/components/com_login/login.php on line 18

Please help..

Hello,
this would probably get a better answer in the Joomla! forum website. Code has been modified from v2.5.4 to v2.5.5, the JController class, for instance, became JControllerLegacy. Probably to prepare the move to v3.x.
As far as I can tell, your Joomla! update did not go through smoothly, some library files may be missing.
Are having issues with Trombinoscope Extended? Note that the newest versions only work with Joomla! v2.5.5+. Please check the release notes to make sure your component is compatible with Joomla! v2.5.5.
