Best way to export data from TCP was created by Karen22
I can create a CSV to export sorted data from the front end of my TCP installation, but what is the best way to export from the backend?

Not all the data held in the contacts fields is displayed on the front end for access reasons but sometimes it also needs to be sorted and downloaded. I tried an Import/Export Joomla plugin for users and contacts but it was more or less useless as it identified the number of contacts matching the filter but only ever produced a csv for the full list of contacts.

If a third party plugin is required does anyone have any recommendations? Otherwise, could this feature be developed within TCP please?

Exporting contacts is complex and there are already tools for that indeed.
One of the best out there and one of the most reliable (I have heard from users) is RO CSVI.
rolandd.com/documentation/ro-csvi/joomla...omla-contacts-export

This is something I am also planning to include in the future but it not nearly ready yet and won't probably be as extensive as other tools.

Olivier.
