Hey Oliver, I apparently needed to sleep on the problem... I just sat down to look at it again this morning, refreshed browser, re-enabled the module and bingo. Appears to be working fine now. Much thanks cant wait to play with more of the options.

Did not think of it before: what are your global configuration settings? In the 'system' tab, there are cache settings. If 'on', you will not see any change for the time allocated to the cache...
