Hello again Olivier,

Before installing on live site I made a series of tests here and it worked like a charm. It's the same Joomla version, with same template, on the same server, etc...

Alex,
I cannot make any sense of this, everything should be working fine. One thing though: your file is of 32 bits. PNGs should be either 8 or 24 bits in depth. I am just guessing but that may be the issue.

Olivier.

Hello Olivier,

You are right, but all the pngs are 32 bits there, and some of them work.
Anyway, I switched back to the right section where all the PNGs are 8 bits and none of them are displaying.
Then I downloaded one of the non-working-png from the live site, uploaded it to the testing domain, created a new article with it and bang! it works!

Please take a look at the test , first article uses the image that is not working on the live site here .

One difference between these two sites is that the test one is first installed with current (latest) version and the live one is upgraded from a previous one.

Can you help with other ideas?

Best regards,
Alex.

What about the php versions on each server? Are they different?
The error comes from the php library that creates the png files.

Hello Olivier and thank you very much for your time,

The PHP version is 5.2.17, on the same server.

I even added echo "<img src=\"".$image."\">"; in the switch section and I get all the images.

I'll try to check the server logs for some more details, but this one really beats me...

Best regards,
Alex.
