All dates are shown by "created date" ...

any other ideas why this is happening?

Most of the time the problem comes from the fact that the date time zones in the php.ini files and in the Apache server are not in sync.

Also, check the dates of your articles. Since all the modules show the 'created date' but yet you get some items with the 'right' date and others with the 'wrong' dates, you may need to adjust the times.
For instance, you may have an article with creation date of May, 2 at 2pm that seems to show at the right date, but another article created May, 2 at 11pm will show May 3 because the server may be off by 2 hours.

This was the problem. Creating an event at 3pm, would show same date .. but creating it at 8pm would show the following date.

For now, to resolve the server time sync issue, i have to set article "create date" a day before the actual date unless the time shown is before 6pm.
