I have the same problem, but the solution doesnt work unfortunately.

I don't have a folder plugins/content/loadmoduleinarticle .. in my Joomla 2.5.13 it's called "loadmodule" (dunno if that makes a difference) .. also, in the php file I find there I dont have a line

"onContentPrepare($context, &$article, &$params, $limitstart)"

but

"onContentPrepare($context, &$article, &$params, $page = 0)"

Changing anything on it didn't make any difference though. The error persists.

What is the error you are getting? The fix is valid for all plugins having $limitstart with no default value, not just 'loadmoduleinarticle' ($limitstart=0 will do).
If you are not using article plugins in the articles you are showing in the module, you can also just comment the lines '$app->triggerEvent('onContentPrepare'...' in helper files of the module.

Thanks for the overnight help, admin! :)

I commented out the lines in the helper_standard.php of the module and all works as I like it now.
