After review of the site, the problem appears to come from the Joomla cache, which is set to 'ON - conservative'.

When you use the cache, the module's internal code is not looked at, therefore, the extra code, used to hide the module from the article view, is never called. Only the general settings for the module are taken into account (menu assignment, position...).

To fix this issue, it is necessary to take the module off the cache and set 'caching' from 'use global' to 'no caching' in the 'advanced' tab of the module instance.
