What criteria are used to list popular articles? was created by foolishsailor
The articles that are displayed in the module are not the ones with the most hits. What criteria does the module use to display popular?

I would expect it to be using the Hits field in the _content table of the joomla database, however it does not seem to do so.

Can you let me know more details and where in the files this criteria is selected so tha i can change it?

Hello,

when you select 'popular', it does order the articles following the 'hits' of each article, in descending order (most hits to least hits). That ordering is coded in the helper.php file line 119.

I have double checked on my test site and it seems to work. I ordered the articles by hits in the admin console and the module replicates that order on the site.
