Hello,
no worries, you should always ask!
This is a problem of configuration.
Right now, you are using the option to show an article before the menu item elements (the option 'article before' from the 'display options' tab). This option shows the full article, always.
As far as I understand, you are trying to have a lead article before the remaining others.
To do that, you need to go to the 'layout' tab. There are 3 sections in that tab:
- the settings for the leading articles,
- the setting for the rest,
- the settings that affect all.
Set 'leading count' to 1 and set how you would like the first article to show (including how much of the text you want - leave 'letter count max' to blank and the text up to the 'readmore' break will show).
The remaining items sections will be for all the other articles.

Well, if the leading article has nothing to do with the others (separate category), this is a different story
If the filtering options are of no help, I would suggest you create a module instance of Latest News Enhanced for just that one article and assign the module instance to the menu item.
